The Engine Shed

The Engine Shed

The Engine Shed, opened in 2006, is the largest live music and entertainment facility in Lincoln.

The building was originally constructed in 1875 for the Great Northern Railway (GNR) as Shed 40A, with four railway tracks. It had been disused since 1964.

The building is at the eastern end of the university campus, and is near the point where the River Witham joins Brayford Pool (Foss Dyke) from the south.

This year we have moved many of our larger events to the Engine Shed to increase capacity and allow more people the opportunity to spend time in this amazing building, with a very exciting line up of bands and acts over four nights: The Major’s Soiree, The Ninth Annual Empire Ball, Time Travellers and The Dead Dog Party.
