Steampunk Campus

The Steampunk Campus is at Bishop Grosseteste University. This is Ground Zero for steampunks at the Asylum and the focal point of the entire festival.

Access to the campus is for Wristband holders only and will be a peaceful celebration of Steampunk.

Here you will find:

The Students Union – Bar and snack bar plus our “quiet space” for people who want to take a break from the hurly-burly of the event.

The Venue – Talks, presentations and other features during the day in the theatre with shows in the evening – variety, films and burlesque.

The Refectory and Curiositea – Dining and refreshments on campus plus somewhere to relax. Supper clubs take place in The Refectory.

Constance Stewart Hall (including The Eliot Room)  – This beautifully redeveloped building is being taken over with steampunk features. Our Great exhibition is based here along with some of our daytime talks and presentations.

The Campus Green – outdoor space in front of Constance Stewart and by the Student Union site of various activities and entertainment plus our outdoor presentation space.

The Robert Hardy Building – Location of our event control open all four days of the festival. This space also has our principal indoor market, our crafting and demonstration area and the lecture Theatre,  home to our Academic symposium on Saturday and other features and presentations on other days.

Asylum Shuttle Bus

The Steampunk Campus is also one end of our shuttle service provided by the Road Transport Museum. The bus stop is by the Venue and from here you can be whisked in fine style to Lincoln Cathedral.

This service is free to Wristband holders.
